Synopsis: Right after First World War, the politicians are back to work in the beautiful Bucharest. This political melodrama displays the struggle of a journalist, the director of the newspaper `Social Justice`, for absolute truth and, thus, absolute justice. Although he had hoped that his situation and, by default, the one of the newspaper, would have to gain if the politicians of the time got involved, things got complicated. In a parallel story brought forward in the same movie, a delicate poet, coming home from war, after having served his country, falls madly in love with a very rich woman. He doesn`t stand a chance, though, because of his pauper situation.
